Born and raised in Chicago, Barry Millman received BA in Public Administration from University of Wisconsin and Masters in Health Care Administration & Law from Saint Louis University.

Mr. Millman entered the Hospital Administration practice and rose to COO of Chicago's Saint Mary of Nazareth Health Center. His responsibilities included the development of a 473-bed hospital. In 1981, Barry and his wife opened a high-end retail Boutique in Glencoe, IL which eventually grew to 7,000 sf. The store was quite successful and during that time Barry became friendly with many local shopping center developers.

After selling the boutique in 1991, Barry joined Craig Steven Development as a North Shore leasing agent. He then joined Childs Realty Group in Arlington Heights as a Senior Broker for a large number of third party managed/leased properties. In 2000 he and his partner Stuart Lenhoff purhased the company and became Principals of the newly named Horizon Realty Services. Barry is now responsible directly or indirectly for the leasing of 120 properties (both multi- and single-tenant) and the management of 1,300,000 sf of retail space in 32 properties.

Barry is actively involved with the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation, where he resides on the Executive Committee and is Chairman of the Speakers Program -  coordinating over 40 professionals to volunteer their time speaking to University Real Estate Programs thoughout the Midwest. He lectures extensively at many of the local universities.

Millman resides with his wife in Northfield, IL and is the father of three.

 

Stuart Lenhoff

Chicago native Stuart Lenhoff received a BS in Marketing from Eastern Illinois University.

Mr. Lenhoff was reared in the family business, an automotive parts warehouse distributorship, since the age of eight. He credits his father for teaching him about business – particularly salesmanship. When the family business closed in 1981 due to a poor economy, Lenhoff went into Commercial Real Estate.

Stuart began at Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CBRE) then joined Zaremba Corporation as Director of Leasing for the Chicago Area. In 1986, he joined partners in starting Horizon Development and Horizon Management. In that same year, Stuart also served as Vice President of Childs Realty. In 2000, he and Barry Millman bought out his former partners and renamed the company Horizon Realty Services. He is now responsible directly or indirectly for the leasing of 120 properties (both multi- and single-tenant) and the management of 1,300,000 sf of retail space in 32 properties.

Stuart is a mentor for the Harold E.Eisenberg Foundation, where he works with college students seeking to learn the Real Estate field. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Lenhoff resides with his wife, Patricia, in Vernon Hills, Illinois, and is the father of three.  His son, Jason, is a broker with the company.

 

Gary Litvin

Born and raised in Chicago, Gary Litvin received a BA in Communications from The University of Colorado.

While attending college, Mr. Litvin began working at a retail electronics store, and ultimately, at the age of 24, opened his first retail venture, Profound Sound, which grew to 3 retail outlets in the greater Denver, Colorado market. In 1984, he returned to the Chicago area and began a new, but related career in Retail Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Litvin immediately sensed a common bond working with retailers from his many years as a retailer, and began a long career working with retail tenants in their expansion efforts throughout the greater Chicagoland area, as well as other markets throughout the country.

He began his first real estate brokerage firm – Litvin, LaRue, Greenfield Commercial Real Estate – in 1995, the same year that he was honored as a finalist in the annual Chicago Sun-Times Broker of the Year awards. In 1999, he created a new firm, Landtrack, Inc., focusing on the land acquisition requirements of big box retailers, including a 52 store roll-out of Menards Home Improvement Centers throughout the greater Chicago markets, and other targeted trade areas in the Midwest US.

Gary is a mentor for the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation and recently was the advisor for the winning team of university students in the first Eisenberg Real Estate Challenge Competition.

As Managing Director of Horizon's Tenant Representation Division, Gary spearheads major expansion efforts with retail and restaurant clients in Chicago and throughout the US.

 

Jason Lenhoff

Jason Lenhoff was born in Park Ridge, and raised in Vernon Hills. He received a BS in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing, from Roosevelt University at Schaumburg in 2005. In addition to attending college full time at night, Lenhoff worked full time for Horizon Realty Services.

Lenhoff joined Horizon Realty Services in September of 2000. It was always a dream and focus of his to work alongside with his father, Stuart, since he was a little boy. First duties were to manage a database that was originally hand written in a three ring binder, and transfer all material to a computerized program. This process included calling all tenants listed in the binder to update all information, which afforded Lenhoff the opportunity to begin the learning process of the commercial real estate industry. Within a year of working at Horizon, Lenhoff obtained his real estate license and began brokering deals representing Landlords.

Along the way, Lenhoff gained much valued tenant’s to represent.  Most notably, Empire Beauty Schools, which he assisted in expanding from one location to three. Most recently, he has teamed up with Gary Litvin in representing other valued tenants such as Firehouse Subs, Urban Active Fitness, and Tucano’s Brazilian Grill, to name a few.

In addition to tenant representation, Lenhoff focuses on maintaining and building relationships with shopping center owners. Over the years, he has successfully brokered many deals both small and large, in addition to selling shopping centers. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is recognized in the community as a Leasing Specialist.

Jason is the proud father of two girls.
